  • Assisting the Managing Director/Commercial Manager in financial management of projects, putting together bids to win new business as well as negotiating and agreeing contracts; project planning; preserving or improving procedures, standards or policies;

  • Building relationships with clients to establish new contracts. He or she also develops strong relationships with different departments within the company to ensure everyone is working toward the same targets and goals;

  • Assisting the Managing Director/Commercial Manager in developing strategic plans to encourage business growth;

  • Assisting the Managing Director/Commercial Manager in using analytics to create action plans that are based on data and statistics and interpret results against targets;

  • Developing risk assessments and pricing structures for products to work toward commercial efforts;

  • Financial planning and budgeting;

  • Overseeing staff, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that deadlines are met. If issues arise with contractors, commercial managers must work with them to resolve the problem as quickly as possible so as not to affect the schedule.


  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in quantity surveying, architecture, interior design, engineering background or experience working for contractors or sub-contractors, consultancy businesses are an advantage

  • Bachelor degree holder or above

  • Good command of English

  • Strong commercial awareness, strong negotiation skills and good numeracy skills
