JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Operations Director and related Departments, setting KPIs to achieve the sales budget and sales target.

  • Lead by example, coach and motivate the team to fulfill the company's selling and service standards aligned with company’s standard to maximize the customer's experience at MIA.

  • Monitor all sales from online channels.

  • Monitor and ensure all sales staff is delivering excellent customer experience and ensure the customers' enquiries/ complaints are resolved in a timely and professional manner in compliance with company’s standards.

  • Work very closely with back office team to produce analytical reports for store level with action plan.

  • Approve the monthly roster of all frontline staff ensuring there is sufficient support and coverage.

  • Monitor stock shortage and ensure correct execution of loss prevention program to protect the company from any stock shortage.

  • Assess your team members' performance in a timely basis and support their career plan.

  • Manage the career development of subordinates (sales, skills, customer service, and product knowledge), setting KPIs to Store Manager/ Supervisors by Annual Appraisal.

  • Feedback and coordinate with HR Department (recruitment, training, career plan, talent retention, engagement).

  • Provide feedback and coordinate with Marketing Development (merchandising assortment, new arrivals, aged merchandize, sell thru rate).

  • Coordinate with back office team for any pre or post sales operations needed (including cashiering, internal and brand training and promoter agency).

  • Feedback and coordinate with Store Managers for monthly roster of all frontline staff, operations planning, and for maintenance and security issues.

  •  Perform any ad hoc duties as per assigned.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

  • 4 years of related work experience in retail operations, or store management preferably in a FMCG retail environment (experience in Airport Travel Retail is a must). 

  • Diploma or above in Business, Management or related discipline.

  • Self-starter with strong business acumen and result-oriented.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.

  • Outgoing, dependable, pro-active with good communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Organized with good project and time management skills.

  • Able to lead and coach with an entrepreneur mindset and creativity.

  • Good judgment and mature business skill with the ability to build trust with all levels.
