Job Responsibilities:

• Define, update and maintain the VML cable labeling and records.

• Update data center and ELV layout.

• Keep cleanup and cable tidy up SCL ELV rooms environment.

• Deliver, Insert, eject, relocate tapes and maintains tapes Inventory record.

• Mount network, storage and server devices at the racks in data centers and ELV rooms.

• Monitor and perform the workflow of cable patching.

• Define and follow the best practice of cable patch cord installation, including RJ45, 2 wire jumpering, High-band, and fiber patch cord installation and cross connect re-terminations.

• Monitor, update and maintain the network cable inventory and panel port availability.

• Perform cable testing, troubleshooting and verification within data centers/ELV rooms and all ports in VML properties (including site office).

• Define daily checking procedure to keep the entire data centers and ELV rooms clean.

• Direct report to VML IT Infrastructure team.

• Provide electrical system troubleshooting diagnose service and working with Facilities to quickly resolve or mitigate interruption in services.

• Complete any additional jobs assigned by supervisor in the timely manner.

  
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.

• At least 4-5 years’ working experiences in IT field or similar positions.

• With recognized professional IT certificates is preferred.

• With proven IT knowledge and skills, esp. in data center’s field.

• Strong analytical skills in troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Good command of English and Chinese.
