Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain project budgets; forecast project costs and manage expenditures.

  • Monitor financial progress through regular cost reports and analysis.

  • Oversee and manage the entire purchase order process, including the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders.

  • Negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors to ensure favorable conditions.

  • Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.

  • Assess and verify contractor and supplier payment applications based on work completed and materials supplied.

  • Issue payment certificates ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.

  • Maintain financial records of all transactions and payments.

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts related to construction projects.

  • Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are met by both parties.

  • Handle contractual disputes and negotiate resolutions.

  • Develop and manage effective procurement strategies.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality supply of materials and services.

  • Provide detailed and accurate reports on project status, including financial, procurement, and contract compliance.

  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is preferred.

  • 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the architectural or construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of construction laws and regulations.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficient in QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft, or similar).

  • Fluent in English; Knowledge in Cantonese is a plus.
