Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain project budgets; forecast project costs and manage expenditures.
Monitor financial progress through regular cost reports and analysis.
Oversee and manage the entire purchase order process, including the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders.
Negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors to ensure favorable conditions.
Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
Assess and verify contractor and supplier payment applications based on work completed and materials supplied.
Issue payment certificates ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
Maintain financial records of all transactions and payments.
Draft, review, and manage contracts related to construction projects.
Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are met by both parties.
Handle contractual disputes and negotiate resolutions.
Develop and manage effective procurement strategies.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality supply of materials and services.
Provide detailed and accurate reports on project status, including financial, procurement, and contract compliance.
Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is preferred.
5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the architectural or construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction laws and regulations.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft, or similar).
Fluent in English; Knowledge in Cantonese is a plus.
