Job Responsibilities:
Design Development: Create innovative and luxurious carpet designs that align with the overall vision of casino and hotel projects. Utilize various design software and tools to produce detailed design concepts and specifications.
Material Selection: Research and select high-quality materials that meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of each project. Ensure that the materials are durable, sustainable, and suitable for high-traffic areas.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers to integrate carpet designs seamlessly into the overall design scheme. Participate in design meetings and provide expert input on carpet-related decisions.
Client Interaction: Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating their feedback and preferences into the final designs. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Trend Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging materials, and design techniques to continually innovate and enhance carpet design offerings. Attend trade shows and design exhibitions to gather inspiration and network with industry professionals.
Project Management: Oversee the carpet design process from concept through to installation. Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of carpet products.
Quality Control: Conduct site visits to ensure that carpet installations meet design specifications and quality standards. Address any issues that arise during the installation process.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Textile Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or specialized training in carpet design is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpet design, preferably within the hospitality or luxury sectors. Experience designing for casinos and hotels is highly desirable.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and 3D modeling tools. Familiarity with textile design software is advantageous.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous carpet design projects, particularly those in luxury settings. Demonstrated ability to create unique and innovative designs.
Exceptional creativity and a strong understanding of color theory, patterns, and textures. Ability to create designs that reflect luxury and sophistication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and client needs effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute positively to a creative and dynamic workplace culture.
